HOPEWELL HOSE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY #1Hopewell Hose Fire Company is located on Route 376 in the heart of East Fishkill. We are a 100% volunteer department that counts on dedicated members of the community to provide both firematic and rescue services to East Fishkill. There are approximately 120 members on our current roster. Hopewell Hose is one of 4 main fire companies and 2 sub-stations. The other companies are Stormville, Hillside Lake and Wiccopee. The East Fishkill Fire District covers approx. 52 square miles with 2 major highways cutting through the district, the Taconic State Parkway and Interstate 84. Major corporations also make home to East Fishkill such as IBM. |

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU! There are many benefits to being a volunteer in the East Fishkill Fire District. The district has always been a 100% volunteer organization. There are many divisions in this organization. You have Firefighting, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Police, Fire Investigation and Ladies Auxilary (Firefighters Support Group) just to name a few. There are also specialized teams such as the Cold Water Rescue Team, Low-angle Rope Rescue Team, Vehicle Extrication and F.A.S.T. (Firefighter Assist and Search Team). There is something in this organization for everyone. Any and all training is provided free of charge by the district, and also by New York State. If you would also like to help the people in your community, please contact the East Fishkill Fire District by phone between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday through Friday. You will be given further information, plus a contact number and name depending on where you live in the town and also based on what interest you may have in the organization. You must be 16 or older to join. If you do not live or work in the Town of East Fishkill, contact your local fire department. Every volunteer fire district is looking for help so your time and effort will be appreciated. |
